At Skink Central, transparency and trust are fundamental to our relationship with our readers. We believe in providing honest, research-backed advice to help you give the best possible care to your skinks and reptiles.

What Is an Affiliate Link?

An affiliate link is a specific URL that contains an tracking code. If you click on one of these links and purchase an item or service, Skink Central may receive a small commission from the seller at no extra cost to you.

The price you pay for any product or service remains exactly the same whether you use our affiliate link or go directly to the vendor’s website.

How We Use Affiliate Links

We participate in selective affiliate marketing programs (which may include the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and other reptile supply/pet care affiliate networks). These programs provide a way for websites to earn advertising fees by linking to trusted products and suppliers.

Our Editorial Promise:

  • Unbiased Reviews & Care Guidance: We only recommend enclosures, heating/lighting setups, substrates, dietary supplements, and reptile care tools that we have thoroughly researched, tested, or personally used.
  • No Sponsored Favoritism: We do not accept payment or sponsorship in exchange for positive reviews or product placements. Our recommendations are driven strictly by animal health, safety, and husbandry standards.
  • Product Selection: Our choices are guided by herpetological best practices, safety standards, and real-world performance—never by commission rates.

Why Do We Use Affiliate Links?

Operating and maintaining Skink Central requires ongoing investment in web hosting, site security, graphic design, and in-depth research. The affiliate commissions earned through this website help support our operations and keep our care sheets and articles freely accessible to reptile keepers worldwide.
